Breakfast is one of the most important meals of the day. According to Robert A. Heinlein “One should not attend even the end of the world without a good breakfast.”
But with our hectic schedules it is not possible to wake up in the morning and make breakfast everyday. So I have put together a list of some of the best Breakfast joints in Bangalore which offers everything from moist idlis, crispy vadas, dosa to waffles, pancakes and delicious omelettes.
Check them out!!
The Hole in the Wall Cafe
Situated in Koramangala 4th block, this English Breakfast cafe is a perfect place for brunch with friends. The pancakes, waffles are very yummy but our favorites are Chip Off The Old Cluck and Two Birds with one stone. Since this cafe is always crowded, make sure you reach early especially on weekends to avoid waiting long time.
Mavalli Tiffin Rooms (MTR)
MTR was founded in the year 1924 by Yajnarayana Maiya and his brothers. It is considered one of the best places to have south indian breakfast. Their rava idli, masala dosa, filter coffee and tea is something which everyone should try.
Known for its rustic look, Koshy’s is quite popular among singers, aspiring artist, journalists and businessman. Pork Sausage, beans, bacon and eggs are some of the famous dishes which are served here.
The Egg Factory
This place is for egg lovers. Their French toast, Caramel Custard, Bun Masala with Scrambled eggs are some of the most loved dishes.
154 Breakfast Club
This place is ideal for vegetarians as well as non vegetarians. Its a small place but some of the dishes like sausage, waffles, baked beans and salad are definitely worth trying. Plus it is very reasonable.
Brahmin’s Coffee Bar
Located in Basavanagudi, this 47 year old eatery is famous for its filter coffee and Kesari Bath. Brahmin serves one of best idlis and Kesari Bath in Bangalore whose recipe is something of the legacy for the Adiga family.
Yet another old Bangalore favorite Maiyas has been in the business for more than 80 years. Sip on the filter coffee and binge on some amazing masala dosas which comes with loads of butter.
Apart from the lovely decor and ambiance this place also scores high on their breakfast menu. Pancakes with maple syrup, Baked beans on toast and the Chef’s special D’hide Omelette will send you in a food coma.
